Advancement of Grinding Centres

For the first time the WEMA Glauchau GmbH has produced a Grinding Centre with 6 grinding spindles.

The new structure of the Grinding Centre enables the machining of workpieces with 6 different grinding spindles (4 internal grinding spindles and 2 external grinding spindles) in only one setting.

Grinding with maximum precision, productivity and flexibility is achieved by to complete machining of inside and outside contours using independently operating grinding units.

The internal grinding spindles grind bore holes, internal end faces and external tapers in only one setting with up to 4 different grinding discs.

The external grinding unit consists of a spindle revolver with two external grinding spindles and allows to grind external diameters by longitudinal grinding or plunge-grinding, outside end faces by oscillating grinding, plungegrinding or angular infeed grinding.
