WEMA Glauchau tiene éxito en Rusia
29.04.2011
Manufacturer of grinding machines celebrates comeback on Russian market
After over 20 years of interruption WEMA Glauchau has re-established itself successfully on the Russian market.
Business relationships, that had been existing since GDR times, could be re-established due to continuous market presence by numerous fairs and visits as well as by the active market development by a russian-speaking sales engineer. Another important element of success is the cooperation with Stankoimport Moscow, which has enabled the rapid re-entry on the Russian market.
The first grinding machine for a leading russian manufacturer of engines and gearboxes will leave the plant in Glauchau in a few months. Other machines have been ordered and will be delivered next year. In addition, a growing demand from Russia is recorded, the number of inquiries has more than doubled this year.
The company expects a strong interest in the WEMA products during its fifth participation on the trade fair Metalloobrabotka in Moscow from 23 to 27.05.2011. There, WEMA Glauchau participates in the collective exhibit of saxon companies. The functional model of the grinding center WEMA S 6 is to be presented in Moscow. At the 1:4 scale model, the exhibition team will clearly explain the benefits of WEMA's grinding machines and demonstrate the traverse of the axes during the grinding process.
Together with other saxon companies and VEMAS (collaborative engineering initiative Saxony), WEMA Glauchau will also execute the project EMPRu (efficienct technologies for the modernization of the production in Russia). This project is supported by the BMBF. The company also sees great potential in the area of modernization in Russia: From 1970 to 1990 more than 2,000 internal circular grinding machines and roller bearing grinding machines had been supplied in the territory of the former Soviet Union by the Glauchauer company, then known as "BWF / WMW". Many of these machines are still in use and could be overtaken by retrofitting and modernized with the latest technology or be replaced by more efficient WEMA grindíng machines.
